In Memory

Remember that morning in Camden
Love passion lust abandon
And the ash from the spliff
 Fell on your breast
And I licked it clean
 Soft touch on my chest
And we laughed ecstatically
 Hands clenched to the stars
And the touch electrically
 Sparks Venus and Mars
And you said the flat needed painting
And the coffee stained sheets needed fumigating

Remember

The flat is now in red and green
The sheets are midnight blue and clean
And I’m no longer between
Day and night

But our love gave me a terrible fright
